An awareness tool—not a safety system
Paximity provides awareness of participating users and community-reported information. It does not detect every dog, person, animal, hazard, or trail user. It does not guarantee safety, coverage, accuracy, availability, or advance notice.
Technology has limits
- GPS and direction estimates can be delayed, imprecise, or wrong.
- Cellular, Wi-Fi, or other connectivity can be unavailable or interrupted.
- Notifications can arrive late or not at all.
- Background operating-system restrictions, low-power modes, force-quitting the app, or disabled permissions can prevent or delay updates.
- Community reports can be incomplete, inaccurate, malicious, expired, or outdated.
- The absence of an alert does not mean an area is safe, clear, or empty.
You remain responsible
- Control your dog and use a leash or recall appropriate to the situation and applicable law.
- Follow leash laws, trail rules, closures, wildlife guidance, and all local regulations.
- Continuously observe your surroundings and decide independently whether a route or situation is safe.
- Use appropriate caution around wildlife, terrain, weather, roads, other people, and animals.
- Contact emergency services—not Paximity—when immediate help is needed.
Location sharing
Active-walk location functionality is intended to begin only after a user starts a walk and to end when the walk ends, subject to synchronization, device, and connectivity limitations. Approximate proximity, direction, status, or report information may still be sensitive. Use sharing features only when comfortable doing so.
