PAXIMITY · COMING TO IPHONE

Know what’s ahead.
Choose your path.

Paximity gives dog walkers additional awareness about what may be ahead—so they can decide whether to continue, recall, leash up, wait, change routes, or avoid an encounter.

HOW IT WORKS

Awareness starts when you do.

  1. 01
Start walkYou intentionally begin active-walk sharing.
  2. 02
Build awarenessNearby participating walkers and relevant reports can provide context.
  3. 03
Choose what to doYou—not the app—decide how to respond.
  4. 04
End walkEnding the walk stops active-walk sharing, subject to synchronization limits.

LIVE WALK AWARENESS

Know when participating dog walkers may be nearby. Awareness is intended to provide context—not a guarantee that every walker or dog is shown.

DOG STATUS

Participating walkers can share useful context such as on leash, off leash, or reactive during an active walk.

COMMUNITY SIGHTINGS

Community observations may include dogs, coyotes, snakes, other wildlife, people or trail activity, hazards, and conditions.

TRAIL RESOURCES

Find community-reported waste bag stations, water stations, and other useful resources along the way.

BESTIES

People and dogs who already know one another may optionally see when a Bestie is walking and decide whether to meet.

PRIVACY FIRST

Location sharing is tied to an explicitly started walk. Users control when they begin and end active-walk sharing.

BUILT AROUND CHOICE

Location sharing only when you start a walk.

Paximity is designed not to begin an active walk merely because movement is detected. Precise raw GPS coordinates should not be intentionally displayed publicly to unrelated users.

Important:

Paximity is an awareness tool, not a safety system. GPS, connectivity, notifications, community reports, and coverage can be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. The absence of an alert does not mean an area is safe or empty.
