1. Acceptance and eligibility
These Terms of Service govern access to Paximity, a service provided by Leoka Labs LLC. By creating an account or using Paximity, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Do not use the service if you do not agree. You may use Paximity only if you can legally agree to these Terms and your use is permitted where you live.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and promptly notify Leoka Labs of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity through your account to the extent permitted by law.
3. Location and awareness services
Paximity uses device location during intentionally started walks to provide additional awareness. GPS, connectivity, devices, notifications, reports, and operating systems can be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Paximity is not an emergency service, navigation authority, tracking guarantee, or safety system. Review the Safety & Location Disclaimer before using active-walk features.
4. Community reports and user content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Leoka Labs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, display, and distribute that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve, and enforce the service. You represent that you have the right to submit it.
Community reports are observations and may be inaccurate, delayed, expired, or outdated. Do not rely on a report—or the absence of one—as proof that a location is safe or empty.
5. Besties
Besties is intended for users who already know one another. Connections and visibility are optional. Do not use Besties to pressure, monitor, harass, or track another person. Users decide independently whether to meet.
6. Prohibited conduct
- Submit intentionally false, misleading, malicious, illegal, or harmful reports or content.
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, stalk, locate, or attempt to identify other users.
- Scrape, harvest, probe, overload, interfere with, or circumvent the service or its security.
- Reverse engineer the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Use automated access, spam, malware, unlawful content, or the service to violate another person’s rights.
- Abuse Besties, notifications, location signals, community reports, or support channels.
7. Enforcement and termination
Leoka Labs may investigate suspected violations and remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or legal rights. Users may stop using the service and request account deletion. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
8. Intellectual property and third-party services
Paximity, the Leoka Labs name, software, design, and service content—excluding user content—are owned by Leoka Labs or its licensors and protected by law. Third-party services may have separate terms and privacy practices. Leoka Labs is not responsible for third-party services to the extent permitted by law.
9. Availability and changes
Features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. Leoka Labs does not promise uninterrupted access, complete coverage, or compatibility with every device, network, or region. Reasonable notice will be provided when required by law.
10. Disclaimers and liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAXIMITY IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, SAFETY, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEOKA LABS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR OPPORTUNITY. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Indemnification and disputes
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Leoka Labs against third-party claims arising from your unlawful content, misuse of the service, or violation of these Terms. This provision may not apply in every jurisdiction.
If you have a concern or dispute, contact Leoka Labs first so the issue can be reviewed. Any unresolved dispute will be handled under the laws and procedures that apply to the circumstances.
12. Changes and contact
